फेडरेशन कप कुश्ती चैंपियनशिप
All India Federation Cup Wrestling Tournament trophy in both Greco-Roman (GR) style and freestyle at the Patliputra Sports Complex पाटलिपुत्र स्पोर्टस कॉम्प्लेक्स में सोमवार 12.3.2012 से फेडरेशन कप कुश्ती चैंपियनशिप शुरू हुई।
पहले दिन बिहार ने कुल पाँच पदक जीते। के एल यादव ने दिलाया बिहार को स्वर्ण।
फेडरेशन कप कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता में बिहार स्वर्ण पदक जीतने के साथ खाता खोलने में सफल रहा। सोमवार को बिहार के खाते में एक स्वर्ण पदक के साथ कुल पांच पदक आये। बिहार की ओर से इकलौता स्वर्ण पदक कन्हैया लाल यादव ने ग्रीको रोमन स्टाइल के 55 किलोग्राम वजन में जीता। इस वर्ग का रजत गौरव शर्मा ने जीता जबकि कांस्य पदक पश्चिम बंगाल के जगदीश यादव के खाते में गया । इसके अलावा 66 केजी की फ्री स्टाइल स्पर्धा में बिहार के रंजीत कुमार कांस्य पदक जीतने में सफल रहे। इस वर्ग में दिल्ली के नरेश को जहां स्वर्ण पदक मिला, वहीं मध्यप्रदेश के जयंता सोनकर ने रजत पदक पर कब्जा किया । सोमवार को हुए मुकाबले में 120 केजी ग्रीको रोमन में बिहार के ब्रजेश सिंह रजत पदक जीतने में सफल रहे। इस वर्ग के मोहित हुड्डा ने जहां स्वर्ण पदक जीता, वहीं गुजरात के स्याम अवध व दिल्ली के सोमबीर ने कांस्य पदक जीता। बिहार के ग्रीको रोमन में रिपुंजय कुमार ने कांस्य पदक जीता। परिणाम इस प्रकार हैं - ग्रीको रोमन स्टाइल : 55 किलो : केएल यादव (बिहार) ने दीपक (दिल्ली), गौरव शर्मा (एसएससीबी) ने जगदीश (बंगाल), दीपक (दिल्ली) ने बबलू (झारखंड), केके यादव (बिहार) ने जगदीश (बंगाल) को हराया। 66 किलोग्राम वजन : समर बहादुर (बिहार) ने राजीव (झारखंड), हरेंद्र (गुजरात) ने बजरंगी (दिल्ली), सुनील (त्रिपुरा) ने अंजय कुमार (बंगाल) को मात दी। 84 किलो ग्राम वजन : अनिल कुमार (एसएससीबी) ने रिपुंजय कुमार (बिहार), राहुल (दिल्ली) ने राजेश (झारखंड), सूरज (त्रिपुरा) ने अवधेश (गुजरात) को हराया। 120 किलो ग्राम वजन : श्याम अवध (गुजरात) ने असीम (बंगाल), सोनकर (दिल्ली) ने मुनेश (त्रिपुरा), ब्रजेश सिंह (बिहार) ने रविकांत (झारखंड) ने हराया। फ्री स्टाइल (महिला) : 48 किलोग्राम वजन : शीतल तोमर ने बबीता (झारखंड) और रूना गातारॉय (त्रिपुरा) को हराया। 55 किलोग्राम वजन : पूनम (दिल्ली) ने देवयंती (झारखंड), अर्चना तोमर (यूपी) ने सोमपा पोद्दार (त्रिपुरा), पूनम (दिल्ली) ने सोमपा पोद्दार (त्रिपुरा), पूनम तोमर (यूपी) ने देवयंती (झारखंड) को हराया। 63 किलोग्राम वजन : सोनी कुमारी (चंडीग़ढ) ने मालती (झारखंड), रेखा नरवाल (दिल्ली) ने मालती (झारखंड) को हराया।

Indian women win Kabaddi World Cup title
India clinched the first Women's Kabaddi World Cup Championship title, defeating Iran 25-19 in the final played at Patlipura Sports Complex at Kankerbagh in Patna on Sunday. In a thrilling encounter, the Indian eves held upper hand throughout the match and led their Iranian counterparts 19-11 at the half time. The Indian captain Mamata Pujari said the team spirit was the key behind the stellar performance of her squad members. "All of us combined together and played very well to lift the Kabaddi world cup for the country. I congratulate all my team members," she told reporters after post-match presentation. "Actually we wanted to play better that what we did, but we are happy that our performance just proved to be adequate for the title," Pujari said. The Indian team was thoroughly prepared for the tournament and committed to win the women world cup kabaddi championship to bring cheer to the country, she said. Cheered by the fans at the jam-packed stadium, the Indian women held out a strong challenge by the Iranian in the second half, on course to a resounding win. Earlier in the day, India outclassed Japan 60-21 while Iran defeated Thailand 46-26 in the two semifinals to set up a summit clash. Before the semi-finals got under way, a clash broke out between a section of spectators and police outside the stadium after some people carrying invitation cards were denied entry into the stadium.
The protesters pelted stones at the policemen who then resorted to baton-charge. After the final, Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi gave away the trophy to India captain Mamata Pujari and medals to all members of the winning team. Cinestar-turned-politician, Shatrughan Sinha, MP from Patalipura, handed over the runners-up trophy and silver medals to Iran, while state education minister PK Shahi and the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) president Janardan Singh Gehlot gave away bronze medals to Thailand and Japan.
प्रथम महिला विश्वकप कबड्डी प्रतियोगिता की प्रबल दावेदार भारतीय टीम ने खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया। भारत ने पाटलीपुत्र स्पोर्ट्स कांपलेक्स में खेले गये पहले महिला विश्व कप कबड्डी के फाइनल मैच में ईरान को 25 – 19 से शिकस्त देकर यह कारनामा किया। कप्तान ममता पुजारी के नेतृत्व वाली भारतीय टीम टूर्नामेंट शुरू होने से पहले ही खिताब की प्रबल दावेदार लग रही थी जिसने मैच में शुरू से ही ईरान की महिला टीम पर दबदबा बनाये रखा और खिताब अपनी झोली में डाला। राज्य के उपमुख्यमंत्री सुशील कुमार मोदी ने फाइनल के बाद विश्व कप ट्राफी विजेता टीम को सौंपी। टीम के सदस्यों को स्वर्ण पदक दिया गया जबकि उपविजेता ईरान के टीम के सदस्यों ने रजत पदक प्राप्त किया। वहीं जापान और थाईलैंड के सदस्यों के कांस्य पदक प्रदान किया गया। एक मार्च से शुरू हुए टूर्नामेंट के दूसरे सेमीफाइनल में भारतीय टीम ने आज जापान को 60-21 से पराजित कर फाइनल में अपना स्थान पक्का किया । वहीं आज हुए पहले सेमीफाइनल में ईरान ने थाईलैंड को 46-26 से पराजित किया । बिहार शताब्दी वर्ष के अवसर पर बिहार सरकार, इंटरनेशल कबडडी फेडेरेशन, आइकेएफ और ऐमच्योर कबड्डी फेडरेशन आफ इंडिया, एकेएफआइ द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से महिला कबड्डी विश्वकप प्रतियोगिता 2012 का आयोजन किया गया था। प्रतियोगिता में कप और पदक के अलावा खिताब के साथ कोई इनामी राशि नहीं रखी गयी थी । भारतीय टीम के साथ साथ विदेशी टीमों को भी खेल प्रशंसकों को प्रोत्साहन और उत्साहवर्धन मिला । 15 विदेशी टीमों ने प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया । मेजबान भारत के अलावा ईरान, श्रीलंका, थाइलैंड, अमेरिका, इंडोनेशिया, जापान, दक्षिण कोरिया, चीनी ताइपे, मेक्सिको, कनाडा, बांग्लादेश, मलेशिया, इटली, तुर्कमेनिस्तान और नेपाल की टीमों ने भाग लिया।
The first Women World Cup Kabaddi tournament will be held in Patna between March 1 and 4. The tournament will be organised by the Bihar Government on the occasion of "Bihar Sthapana Divas" under the auspices of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, Asian Kabaddi Federation and International Kabaddi Federation.
The 16 countries are USA, Malaysia, Mexico, Taipei China, Italy, Sri Lanka, Canada, Nepal, Japan, Iran, Korea, Bangladesh, Indonesia, England, Thailand besides India.
All the 16 teams would be divided into four groups for preliminary round league matches and top two teams of each group will qualify for the quarter finals. The Championship will be played under floodlights on synthetic mat at the Indoor Stadium in Patna.
